Keynsham Area Forum – BANES budget update

“The main Agenda item for this meeting is Changing Together – The Council’s Budget Challenge and Pressures. A presentation will be given by Cabinet Member for Finance and Efficiency, Councillor Charles Gerrish and Ashley Ayre, Chief Executive of Bath & North East Somerset Council who will set out the challenges and pressures faced by the Council over the next two years and beyond. They will be encouraging a wider discussion to explore ideas about how communities can work more closely together. Attached is a summary leaflet to the discussion.
If you are unable to attend this Forum, there will be further opportunities to participate in the budget discussion at the other Connecting Communities Forum meetings as follows:-
22nd November, Bathavon North, The Guildhall, Bath (6pm)
27th November, Bath City Forum, The Guildhall, Bath (6pm)
29th November, Somer Valley Forum, Town Hall, Midsomer Norton (6pm)
4th December, Chew Valley Forum, the Library, Chew Valley Secondary School (6pm)
The Keynsham Area Forum meeting will also include the AGM and elections for the Chair and Vice Chair positions. Attached within the paperwork is the nomination form for these roles. All members of the Forum are eligible to put forward a nomination and self-nominations are accepted. Please return your nomination forms to Sara Dixon or myself prior to the meeting, or alternatively hand in your nominations at the start of the meetin
The role of the Chair and Vice Chair will be to promote the work of the Forum, act independently and ensure the priorities and issues for the whole area are raised. They will be required to attend additional meetings and be involved in agenda and work planning. Please ensure that your nominated candidate has agreed to stand for the position and is willing to say a few words about themselves at the Forum meeting.
